The client has homes in London and Hawaii. During our first meeting, they shared with us that they always stayed at The Raffle Hotel when they are in Singapore. We wanted to create a home to exude the same cosmopolitan elegance and comfort in a well-designed space with modern facilities to match. The brief was straightforward – an interior that was understated and could stand the test of time. It had to be easy to maintain given that they travel very frequently.
The apartment came fitted with lots of timber paneling and decking. Stripping away the peripherals made space looked much bigger. The dry kitchen was also completely reconfigured as the original layout was not quite functional. Apart from the loose furniture from Minotti, Christopher Guy, and Poliform, other items were custom designed and locally made.
