The main architect consultant shortlisted 3 design firms in Singapore to pitch for this project. Extensive research on the history of the country was carried out before we embarked on the design. Apart from key economic activities such as fishing and pearl diving (up to the 1930s), Kuwait was well known for her shipbuilding industry. Our design drew inspiration from the following observations:

• The fin-like quality of the frames of the Ship’s hull.
• The deck on the Ship.
• The unique luster of Pearls.
• The sensual waves of the sea
